I am a C-level executive with extensive experience in energy, energy transition, technology, infrastructure, asset heavy industry, energy markets and digital transformation. Passionate about bringing business strategy, business transformation and execution together. Broad strategic thinker with ability to work with complex system issues, set direction and lead the transformation. Driven to reduce carbon emissions and transform the energy system. With my team of 1,700 people, I work on a energy landscape that faces major technical, social, economical and political changes. It transforms to a decarbonized, decentralized and digital energy system. In my job I help cities, industries, energy production and mobility decarbonize. With my team I participate in the political, social and market environment to develop the (local) decarbonized energy systems and transition paths. We perform major grid reinforcements to facilitate the sustainable energy system. We develop the flexibel and integrated energy system, by investing in the digital grid, customer connectivity and new customer services and legislation. We are developing active system management for better utilization of the grid through near real time insigth in and steering of energy flows and flexibility. We invest in different energy infrastructures, connecting production, storage and demand and integrating different energy carriers, like hydrogen and heat. Our investment portfolio is growing from 500 million (5 years ago) to 1.1 billion now, increasing further to 1.5 billion and further. Next to that we are working on new market models, with more customer centricity and peer2peer energy exchange. With the digital teams we are working on digital transformation of all company processes. From asset investment planning, via engineering to field operations and system operations.
