Prof. Blumberg is an academic leader and has been a key player in building the new high tech ecosystem in Southern Israel. He has led the development of the Israeli space scene and was the Principle investigator on many remote sensing projects. Blumberg founded the Green Campus initiative at BGU which positioned BGU as one of the most environmentally aware university in the world.
