• Work with senior leadership to formulate the strategic direction of teams and lead the execution of the tactical plan to meet the strategy • Develop DevOps methodologies • Manage, Monitor and Measure the progress of teams against the tactical plan and quarterly objectives • Coach and mentor the members of Operations team with direct HR reporting responsibilities • Develop shared knowledge of leveraged tools on the Operations team, eliminating single points of knowledge • Drive continuous improvement of operational controls on the platforms managed by Operations, such as monitoring and application self-healing • Work with IT management to establish IT policies and procedures • Drive compliance and security efforts related to applications and tools managed by the Operations team • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures, and drive automation around these areas • Approve planned changes related to Operations • Drive improved “Time To Value” using consistent and documented procedures • Identify and implement methods and architectures to improve availability of IT services to “five nine’s” and beyond • Identify and implement high availability architectures for IT processes that are identified to have single points of failure • Drive the development next generation configuration management and monitoring systems, and work with Service Transition and the NOC to ensure their adoption and success
