I am General Counsel of cPanel. As an attorney, my practice is focused exclusively on Internet based companies and issues. I've practiced in this area for over 20 years, both in-house and as outside counsel. I work proactively with my clients to develop strategies to deal with the uncertain legal and regulatory nature of the Internet - rather than working as a fireman when a problem occurs. Specialties: Intellectual Property, particularly copyright (DMCA and related areas); web hosting; risk management for Internet Infrastructure providers; outsourcing; operations policy drafting and management (Acceptable Use, Terms of Service and Privacy Policies); software licensing; contract negotiation; domain name disputes; mergers and acquisitions; legislative advocacy; and risk mitigation.
