As CEO at SWGfL and Director UK Safer Internet Centre the national awareness centre and part of the European Insafe network, I've worked extensively in online safety and safeguarding for many years with children, schools and wider agencies. I've have and had the pleasure and privilege of advising a number of Governments and school inspectorates on online safety strategy and policy, particularly with regards schools and curriculum. Internationally, working on behalf of the United Nations International Telecoms Union as a Child Online Protection expert to work with Governments in developing their national COP strategies. Invited to join the World Economic Forum Global Coalition for Digital Safety to meet the challenge of misinformation, violent extremist and terrorist content, and the exploitation of children online, I've had the fortune of sharing knowledge, experience and ideas at conferences nationally and internationally over many years and am a member of UKCIS. I have a drive to help everyone enjoy and benefit from technology and fundamentally safeguard children and led pioneering work, such as the development of multi award winning resources, as well as the establishment of the helpline for victims of Revenge Porn. With Plymouth, Suffolk and Bournemouth Universities, I've published a number of ground-breaking research reports (including Sexting and annual assessments of school policy and progress).
