Bio

I'm a service designer trained in behavioral and social science, user research, facilitation, and data analysis. I co-founded Foossa, a community-centered design consultancy, and I manage our strategy practice as well as our business operations. Foossa's work ranges from workshops and trainings to multi-year service innovation projects. At Foossa, I've led qualitative user research projects, rolled out product strategies, built marketing campaigns, designed experiences, and developed and refined service lines within our client organizations that range from homegrown startups to multilateral institutions. I've worked to design public services for the City of New York, storytelling experiences for the Kigali Genocide Memorial, technology tools for multilateral organizations, and financial instruments to advance economic security, among other projects. Through Foossa's workshops and training, I've worked with participants ranging from executives in finance and technology companies, to university students, to staff within municipal and federal government agencies, to not-for-profit staff and leadership. I love to teach, and I've developed workshops in business strategy, research design, and community-centered design. I have also designed and taught in-person and online courses in design, management, and strategy for graduate and continuing education students at the Parsons School of Design at The New School. I'm also pursuing a PhD at the MIT Media Lab, where my work focuses on space governance and technology design. I'm a co-founder of the Space Governance Collaborative, a network of researchers and practitioners working on the governance of cislunar and outer space. I served on my local community board in Manhattan for several years, where I worked to make local government more accessible and participatory. I've also been a trustee of the New York chapter of the Awesome Foundation, where I worked with other trustees to fund projects both community-minded and sublimely off-beat.
