My passion is about aligning company people practices with the company culture and the company’s strategic business plan. I continue to link the people side of business with the strategic business plan making the people initiatives business activities that produce results through increased: customer service, safety, quality, productivity and profitability. I have been told that my ideas are often counter to many of the 'popular'' viewpoints; earning me the reputation of being a ‘contrarian’ consultant. In addition, I am called upon to coach individuals at the leadership levels of organizations. Much of my work focuses on working with executive teams, facilitating conversations that bring clarity to the values through the articulation of behaviours. I continue to work on the implementation of integrating people management processes in the areas of behavioural competencies, behavioural interviewing, performance management, high potential identification and employee & leadership development plus succession planning. In February of 2009 I received from the World HRD congress in Mumbai, India their award for Leadership In HRD. I am called upon as a frequent keynote speaker on talent management & human resources and have worked on five continents, for a variety of conferences and clients. I also teach at the York U. Schulich School of Business SEEC and Durham College. My first book entitled “The Talent Edge: A Behavioural Approach to Hiring, Developing and Keeping Top Performers” was published by John Wiley & Sons Canada Ltd., August 2001.
