I am a journalist, television presenter and public speaker with an 18 year track record of experience in anchoring, reporting, writing and editing news. I am currently a Senior Producer and News Anchor for Channel NewsAsia in Singapore, conceptualizing and writing news stories and features that impact Singapore and the Asia Pacific region. An author of nine published non-fiction narrative titles, I focus my writing on social and cultural infrastructure topics, and economic and business issues. My first book, bestseller Khameleon, The Elyamani Khamis Story, the controversial story of a financial banking scandal that rocked Singapore, was published in 1993. I went on to publish bestseller Broken Mirror (2001) and Awakenings (2003) true stories about the drug trafficking situation in Singapore, and Daughters of Asia (2004) a collection of inspirational stories about South East Asian Women Leaders. In 2005, I authored and published Food From the Heart, The Culinary Heritage of Malaysia, which won the 2006 Gourmand World Cookbook Award for Best Heritage Writing. In 2008 I authored The Raffles People, a work which chronicled the history and establishment ethic of Singapore's iconic Raffles Hotel, to commemorate the legendary hotel's 120th anniversary. My most recent work, A Tribute to Dr Lim Cheok Peng, Managing Director of IHH Healthcare Berhad and Vice Chairman of Parkway Pantai Limited was published in 2014. Conferences, Seminars and Panels An experienced conference MC and moderator for numerous public and private sector institutions, I have worked with - among others - United Overseas Bank: Wealth Management, Singapore Management University, Standard Chartered Bank, EuroCham, Cegos Asia Pacific and The National Library Board of Singapore. I am also an established public speaker on Media and Spokesmanship Training and a regular guest at regional academic institutions.
