Devan was involved in Google's earliest global expansion across Internet Exchanges and led portions of industry-first data center designs from shipping containers to massive utility-scale campuses across Georgia, Oregon, Ireland, Taiwan, and Singapore. Outside of Google, Devan is a creator and patron of traditional and digital art. As a collector, Devan is an early patron of notable digital and contemporary art. As a creator, Devan’s works have appeared at galleries Nagel Draxler Germany, Unit Gallery London, and Art Basel Switzerland. As Head for Web3 Partnerships & Strategy across Asia, Devan works directly with blockchain protocol teams, foundations, technical ecosystem providers, and DeFi/NFT startups. Devan volunteers on public services made possible through cloud computing: he designed the GKE backend for Google’s public blockchain data sets (Google Public Data), fake news classification design sprints (Google News Initiative), and led partnerships with Internet Exchange operators to provide transparency on internet speeds (Measurement Lab).
