Future of Trust Leader Non-sports fans tend to think us die-hard fans just pick a team and follow them blindly, but for most of us that’s not true. We most often have an unwavering trust in the team – in the coach’s skilled leadership and the players’ ability to perform. When these come together, and perhaps with a little luck, we get a winning season. It’s been similar in my career: I’ve always tried to be a trusted leader and coach, and to create teams of people who thoroughly trust each other, are trustworthy, and get the job done more effectively, together. It’s been a winning formula. My extensive work in investigating financial crime has included tracking down fraud (a rupture of trust), analyzing how and why it occurred (certainly trust was absent), and helping companies recover from the breakdown of trust that almost always accompanies the uncovering of fraud. All this led to one of my current roles at Deloitte, spearheading our Future of Trust initiative. With my experiences to guide me, I help clients build and maintain trust and understand how not to lose it in the first place. Global Leader, Deloitte Forensic Co-Leader, Deloitte Legal Business Services In addition to the Future of Trust, I serve as a Deloitte Risk & Financial Advisory principal with Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP. I lead Deloitte’s Forensic practice globally and co-lead Deloitte’s Legal Business Services. You can say I wear a few hats; but in each case, I am part of a winning team where trust is paramount. Overall, I have more than 30 years of experience helping clients and heading up practices in forensic, dispute consulting, and legal transformation. I take great pride in leading Deloitte professionals around the world who serve clients in areas such as financial crime, disputes and investigations, business insurance, discovery, data governance, legal transformation, and contract lifecycle management. My specialities include: intellectual property, expert witness testimony, forensic accounting investigations, and legal department transformation. Fortunately, I love leading, coaching and solving complex problems! These roles keep me plenty busy, but outside of work, I am active with my wife, family, and friends, pursue fitness and health with a passion, and am a huge sports fan.
