Bio

I am an impact investor at Big Society Capital, where we bring together people, ideas, and capital to improve lives. I lead our impact venture capital programme, seeking to shape an ecosystem that can nurture and scale innovative ways of tackling social problems - by backing VC funds that invest in impactful startups, pushing the boundaries of impact practice in venture, and collaborating with others to amplify the great work they are doing. Previously, I was a strategy consultant at the Boston Consulting Group. During my time at BCG, I founded an initiative providing pro bono consulting to charities, social enterprises, and purpose-led startups at Board and CEO level. Outside of work, I have been a trustee or advisor to a number of charities and social enterprises, and have been an active private investor for over fifteen years. I hold a BA from the University of Oxford with First Class honours in History & Economics.
