Cybersecurity Executive, with 20+ years of experience in both OT and IT security. Expertise in rail cybersecurity, manufacturing and miscellaneous critical infrastructure across the globe. Working in extensive cybersecurity project worldwide protecting rail operations control centers, rolling stock and signaling system equipment. RECENT ACTIVITIES: •Creating new revenue streams for air, rail, manufacturing and cloud at Waterfall Security Solution •White paper on rail cybersecurity (Thousands of downloads) and several articles •Define cybersecurity architecture for international rail bids •Speaker in several rail webinars and conferences (100+ attendees average) •Working with the World Economic Forum security and safety network for OT cyberinsurance •Security Chair at the Industrial Internet Consortium, threat assessments for Industrial testbeds •Author of the Augmented Reality Security Framework for AREA •Author and editor of the Industrial Internet Security Framework My background is quite unique: I started developing firmware attacks, including the cryptographic security of the Intel Microcodes. Worked in Trusted Computing and created a TPM emulator. I created patents on hardware based intrusion detections, ad earned a PhD out of evaluating host based intrusion detection systems. Published many research and articles (1732 citations and counting). For Fujitsu I created inventions from prototype to product, and filed dozen of patents. I opened my own consulting company and worked on offensive security, including kill switches for smart meters, IoT security and IIoT security. In one widely published security research I took control of every room of a hotel, and was labeled Spanish hacker by many outlets. We are facing an enormous challenge of protecting our critical infrastructure in the wave of an unstoppable industrial revolution. My goal is to explore opportunities to better protect the industrial internet, to prevent society to become a victim instead of a beneficiary.
