Dr. Bosshard is a leading expert in the field of consumer neuroscience. Driven by the desire to provide brands and organisations with a more robust understanding of consumer behaviour, Shannon combines the fields of psychology and neuroscience with that of marketing and advertising. Since having entered a commercial space, Shannon has worked with some of Australia’s most well-established media agencies, and some of the world's largest brands across FMCG, banking, automotive, fast food, health, government, and superannuation. For over a decade, Shannon has been engaged in world first research projects that have been recognised globally. Since 2022, Shannon has been the Lead Scientist at Playground xyz, a role he was asked to develop in response to the industry's rapidly growing interest in attention. Shannon is currently responsible for offering Playground xyz clients the opportunity to engage in ground-breaking research in order to understand the nuances of attention. Prior to his employment at Playground xyz, Shannon spent approximately six years working for ARN (Australian Radio Network) where he established and managed ARN's Neurolab, the first in-house media research initiative of its kind in Australia. The formation of the Neurolab was integral in allowing radio to operate within the growing space of 'Attention' and provided the industry some of the first insights into how the brain responds to radio, podcasting, and music streaming.
