Dr Sulthan Khalifa Haroon Al Rashid has had the privilege of being an Entrepreneur, Innovator, Scientist, Academic, Writer, Public speaker, (Climate + Cyber Security) Activist, Research Strategist, Community enabler, Fundraiser and Sustainability expert over 10 years. Dr Sulthan has been educated and trained on 6 continents in the pursuit of education, research, collaboration and travel. Dr Sulthan is the UN SDSN Youth Sustainable Developments Goals Students Program Regional Project Officer for the Asia Pacific. He is a co-founder of the ''Hilane Digital Pvt Ltd'' and Chief Strategic Officer of “Cyber Heals Infotech Pvt Ltd”. Dr Sulthan is connected with Innovation, Research and Startup Ecosystems in the Asia Pacific and the Middle East. Dr Sulthan had laid the foundation for 10+ Incubators and Mentored 50+ startups including 56 social entrepreneurs. He has delivered 100+ sessions on entrepreneurship in different arenas across the globe. He finished his PhD at RMIT University, Melbourne with an Australian Research Council Discovery Grant. During his PhD at RMIT University, he developed a highly sensitive sensor that can diagnose diabetes from human breath by tracing amounts of acetone gas in it. During Covid-19 his team invented a low-cost oxygen concentrator from uselessly overthrown materials. Dr Sulthan has proposed a principle to diagnose Covid-19 from human breath and he is one among 239 experts who wrote to WHO that “COVID-19 is an airborne disease”. He is a proud recipient of the Australian Governments Global Distinguished Talent Award from the Australian Home Affairs for his contribution to the field of Medical Technology. He has organised Thesis Boot Camps across 54 countries online and more than 20,000 students across the globe are involved. In 2017 he won the RMIT University Redback Innovation Challenge Award. He was the Victorian public speaking champion and was one among six Australian National Finalists at the Present around the World Competition (PATW) organized by Institution for Engineering and Technology (IET). One among Australia’s Top 20 young innovators chosen by the Australian Academy of Science, falling walls foundation and the embassy of the federal republic of Germany - Canberra, Australia (2018). He is also the People’s Choice Winner and Champion of the 3 Minutes Thesis Competition. He closely works with many organisations across the globe such as Diabetes Australia, UNIDO, UNDP, UNESCO, Green Kanyakumari Project and Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation.
