I love to help teams solve problems around operations and security observability. Data is the foundation to make good decisions and operations and security teams need quality data on demand to be most effective. I have spent the last 20 years working to provide data to help solve problems and plan for the future. I am currently the Developer Evangelist for market leader Cribl, Inc. whose products Logstream and AppScope are truly something new and innovative. You do not get to define a category very often and it is exciting. Most of all, I enjoy helping customers solve problems with our tools. It is awesome seeing how genuinely excited data admins are to discover something new that will help them solve problems quickly and reduce the amount of daily toil they have to endure. Before Cribl, I spent 15 years with Transunion in a number of roles mostly focused around logging and monitoring. I led its Splunk rollout and worked closely with the security teams to integrate Splunk and telemetry data of all types with security practices. I was most proud of working closely with security to bridge the divide and foster a true partnership. I always encouraged my team to work closely with other teams and use observability as a way to bring the enterprise together. I was lucky to work with so many skilled, wonderful people at Transunion.
