Eirik Stavelin holds a PhD in Information Science form the University of Bergen. Currently he is working as a data scientist at Making Waves. Stavelin has published several papers on the topic of computational journalism and digital methods in communications. Lately has has been working on systems that contain artificial intelligence, (chatbot/voice), search technology (elastic search) and data analysis. Projects often need a front-end (e.g. react or an API) and shoe leather and an organisational curling broom in order to keep the flow of work - all things Eirik can do.
