Bio

I completed my Masters degree in Sociology, focusing on employment for persons with disabilities. I currently have three years plus years experience working within Accessible Learning environments within post secondary institutions. I am heavily involved in my community, especially with initiatives aimed at helping persons with disabilities, in particular youth with disabilities. I am currently a member of the Wolfville Accessibility Advisory committee. I am past Chair and Nova Scotia Director for the National Educational Association of Disabled Students. I am also past Chair of the Nova Scotia League for Equal Opportunities. I am a past member of the Board of Directors for the Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Association of Nova Scotia, as their main fundraising person. Over the past number of years I have also served as an accessibility advisor, helping places to become more accessible in not just the physical but also the policy and procedure sense. I have extensive research, coordination, facilitation, and outreach experience. I am a very dedicated, motivated worker who truly enjoys working with others to make a difference.
