Early in 2020, and after 30+ years in Corporate Leadership, I decided to create Simpler Change Ltd and work as an independent consultant and interim CIO, putting to good use everything that I had learnt through years as a successful Corporate Executive and Technology Leader. I profoundly believe that creating business value through change should be easy. And I also believe that organisations often complicate the way in which they go about change. Especially when change is heavily dependent on IT. Often, a bad design, or an untimely / over-expensive implementation lets down the ingenuity of a great business vision. “Why are we late again?” I hear you say. The secret lies in converting a great vision or strategy into pragmatic, down to earth, implementable solutions.
