After decades as a writer and editor, I crossed over to manage the commercial side of media as well—first as the president of Inc. and more recently as the CEO of Mansueto Ventures, the company that owns both Inc. and its sister, Fast Company. Both Inc. and Fast Company are iconic business journalism brands, with noble missions, storied histories, and extraordinarily talented teams. It was the privilege of a lifetime to lead them. Now I have a new goal: To bring the skills I've learned in my decades in journalism and media to help counter the tide of toxic misinformation that has polluted our civic discourse and threatened democracy. I'm eager to join forces with journalists, researchers, entrepreneurs and activists who share my conviction that this is THE challenge for this generation of media professionals. Areas of interest: The future of media, ethics and technology, political polarization, entrepreneurship, management theory and practice, service journalism, investing theory and practice
