Bio

I am the CEO & Co-Founder of T-DAB.AI, a data science and data engineering innovation company developing an advanced distributed Edge AI platform, OctaiPipe, and it's associated machine learning solutions to deliver intelligence to the connected device. OctaiPipe is a deeply enabling technology, allowing customers to increase productivity, develop new business models, and operate in novel environments through machine learning that is more private, cost efficient, and resilient in distributed IoT device environments. My personal focus is to drive innovation which delivers business growth, as well as social and environmental impact. At T-DAB.AI, this means that I have the privilege of leading a team of incredibly talented data scientists working with engineers, solution architects, and front end developers. Our goal is to advance distributed and federated machine learning, across the full spectrum of edge compute, to enable advanced machine intelligence. My key areas of responsibility are in setting the vision and strategy of T-DAB, driving innovation and research, and overseeing the technical delivery of services and products. In this capacity I have overseen the delivery of over fifty commercial projects, three products, and two years of research and development in collaboration with academia. I take a keen interest in mentoring more junior scientists, as well as working to develop best practices and placing ethics at the core of what we do. Outside of my professional life I am also a keen amateur high performance sailor. I managed and captained the Oxford University team for 4 years, becoming British national vice champions and 8th at the Student Yachting World Cup 2015. This provided me with ample opportunity to develop my skills in - and taste for - leadership, program development, business and sponsorship.
