I am currently Head of Private Debt and a portfolio manager in the Sanlam Investments Alternatives business unit. Previously I was a credit fund manager in the alternatives sector. I joined Gensec Bank in 2004 and moved from Finance to the Credit Analysis department in 2005 when Gensec Bank became Sanlam Capital Markets. I moved to Cape Town in 2006 to head up the centralized Credit Risk Function for the Sanlam Group in Cape Town. I was manager in this division until 2012. I completed my BCom Hons degree in Accounting at the University of Port Elizabeth in 1999. I passed Board 1 and 2 at first attempt and registered as a Chartered Accountant (SA) in 2003 after completing my articles at PricewaterhouseCoopers. I also completed a Masters in Financial and Portfolio Management at University of Cape Town in 2009.
