Erin Papworth is the founder and CEO of the fintech company and mobile savings account, Nav.it and consulting company, Avery Franklin Consulting, LLC. Erin holds a Masters of Public Health (M.P.H.) from Tulane University and specialized in International Health and Economics. Erin spent 12 years living and working overseas in behavioral health, management, and humanitarian emergency contexts. During that time, Erin experienced firsthand the pitfalls and results of a lack of robust financial and legal structures that fundamentally restrict a population's ability to meaningfully access credit and financial markets in order to grow intergenerational wealth. In 2015, Erin returned to the United States and started Avery Franklin Consulting LLC. AFC provides management and evaluation consulting expertise to international and national clients. Her client list includes the United Nations, USAID, George Washington University, and FHI360. Erin grew this company to six figures and a team of four within a year. During this time, as she integrated back into the financial system of the United States, Erin was struck by the significant lack of financial confidence her Millennial peers felt when discussing basic financial management, entrepreneurship, and wealth-generating investments. In 2016, Erin saw an incredible opportunity to bring a meaningful technological solution that increased the Millennial generation's financial health outcomes by increasing their confidence and self-awareness around their money habits and literacy. Erin launched Nav.it (verb: to navigate it), which is a mobile savings and budgeting tool that capitalized on her 12 years of experience delivering community-driven resources to target demographics and facilitating behavior change. Erin has gathered a dedicated and highly skilled team and, after R&D between 2016-2018, launched the Beta version of Nav.it in 2019 and the savings and budgeting tool in Q2 2020. Erin is known as a public speaker with engagements including Ladenburger Thalmann keynote speaker for their Next Gen Advisor Conference, Morgan Stanley Women’s Advisor Conference, Grapevine Women’s Association, Pledgettes, and more.
