Dean of the College of Engineering (CEN) and a Professor of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) at the American University of Sharjah (AUS), UAE. Leading effectively a college consisting of an outstanding 85 faculty, 25 lab instructors, 15 administrators, and 2400+ students. The college has seven undergraduate programs, nine master’s programs, and one doctoral program. Winner of the H.H. Sheikh Khalifa, UAE's President, Award for Higher Education, Global Engineering Deans Council (GEDC) Airbus Engineering Diversity Award, Sheikh Rashid's Award for Outstanding Scientific Achievement, Abdul Hameed Shoman Award for Young Arab Researchers, and the AUS Excellence in Teaching Award. Fellow of the Semiconductor Research Corporation (SRC), USA. Senior member of IEEE & ACM. Member of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Academy of Scientists. Founder and past chair of the UAE IEEE Graduates of Last Decade (GOLD) group, an organization dedicated to advancing technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity. Frequent speaker at international conferences and guest editor of various articles in local media related to cyber security, technology, innovation and education. Holds a PhD and Masters in Computer Science & Engineering from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA and a BS Summa Cum Laude in Electrical Engineering from Lawrence Technological University, Michigan, USA. A Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
