Fawaz AlSahan is the Chairman of Saudi Aramco Instrumentation Standards Committee , IIOT Leader and the President of ISA Saudi Arabia section. Fawaz is a voting member of ISO TC 185/ TC30, voting member of The International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (IOGP) Instrument & Automation Standards subcommittee, voting member of UL TC 9200/ TC 0050/ TC 508A/ TC 60079 and a voting member of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) Technical Committee of Electrical Metrology. Fawaz has more than 24 years of experience in Instrumentation and Process Automation (design, innovation, digital transformation, standards development, technical and maintenance support) . Fawaz is a certified Engineering Consultant (SCE) and a Certified Automation Professional (CAP). Fawaz received many national, regional and international awards. This includes “The King Award for Inventors and Gifted”, “The Gulf Engineering Union Engineering Excellence and Innovation Award”, “ Saudi Aramco Innovation and Technology Deployment Award 2020”, “Saudi Aramco Downstream 2021 Digital Transformation Excellence Award”, “The International Society of Automation Excellence in Technical Innovation award”, “ AIMTEK 2022 Excellence in Professional Services Award” and “IChemE 2021 Global Awards Finalist”. Fawaz has five granted patents, author and co-author of multiple handbooks and papers in renowned magazines and journals. Fawaz delivered many papers (including Keynote speech and Keynote address) in many national, regional and international conferences. Fawaz teaches several courses on process measurement, control valves, and pressure relief valves.
