Hello, My name is Federico. I am currently helping Zaphiro to develop a modern IT solution for smart grids. Before joining Zaphiro, I have been leading R&D at Martel, and worked as Principal Investigator in 2 well know European research centres. Learning from other successful stories, I have been helping different projects and companies to adopt modern principles of platform engineering, including DevOps and Cloud Native approaches. In my journey, I have been active in Open Source communities and in EU research projects (attracting over 15Mio euros for the organisations I have been working for). In a world of absolutist, I am a no Taleban: there is not perfect technology, only technology fitting or not fitting a project. Said that, don't ask my opinion about overinflated technologies such as blockchains! Also doing software is about ethics, and there is little ethics in consuming huge amount of power for doing trivial computations (and no, the crypto currency societal value does not justify that). I am always open to exchange on ideas and solutions!
