My name is Fernando (Fern) Diaz and I am a Senior Technical Marketing Manager at GitLab. My main focuses are showcasing the value of implementing DevSecOps, Governance, and Kubernetes into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). In the past I was a Software Developer at IBM, where I focused on building/enhancing security tools. I was a core-contributor to OpenStack Barbican (Key Management) as well as a top contributor to the Kubernetes Ingress-Nginx project. I am passionate about helping others enhance their application's security, as well as making videos and other content to make it easier for the audience to implement secure solutions. In my spare time I enjoy screenwriting, cycling, and lifting heavy things.
