Founder / CEO of Betknowmore UK - passionate social entrepreneur - focused on improving services addressing gambling harm and co-morbidity. Achieved Fellowship at School of Social Entrepreneurs - love learning how individuals create solutions to tackle social injustice and inequality. I have built up a useful network of contacts relating to gambling, local authority, youth and community organisations and partnership building is a key strength. I believe in investing in people and communities and providing structure and opportunities for them to develop through strategies based on co-production and empowerment. Betknowmore UK was launched in 2013, a social enterprise with a mission to develop and deliver support and education services to address gambling harm. In October 2014, Betknowmore UK opened its first Gambling Support (GaM-S) hub in Islington, the first dedicated community centre for disordered gambling in London. We worked in partnership with a diverse range of organisations and can tailored our services for specific client groups or need. Betknowmore UK is now a thriving charity. We work within the National Gambling Treatment Service and provide three services: Peer Aid, New Beginnings and GOALS.
