Bio

Fred's primary role is Senior VoIP Engineer, specializing in Open Source software including Kamailio (formerly OpenSER), Asterisk, and FreeSWITCH. Clients utilize Fred's services for design, implementation, and support (including emergency support). After working a city job in Florida, Fred Posner fell into the technological world of web hosting, systems administration, and network engineering. Like many before him, Fred was tasked with running the company’s VoIP solution. Seeing the limitations of working with solutions such as Acme Packet, Broadsoft, Cisco, and others, Fred discovered Asterisk and quickly embraced the open source approach to telecommunication. A large (yes, it’s a fat joke) proponent of Kamailio (formerly OpenSER), Fred currently provides networking / VoIP consultation services through LOD Communications and The Palner Group, Inc. If you’d like to contact Fred, please do so through qxork.com. ''When I was young, I loved telephones. I’d take them apart, play with them, and always loved working with them. Broadsoft tried to kill my love, but Asterisk quickly brought it back. I still love working with telephone communication and helping others with their phone system needs.'' Specialties: Kamailio (formerly openSER), Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, VoIP, Call Center
