I have experience building and running technical product and platform teams focusing on infrastructure, Zero Trust, networking, and storage. I provide technical and organizational leadership with a hands-on approach to fulfill a mission. My expertise is in guiding organizations through their Cloud Native and Zero Trust while meeting or exceeding regulatory requirements such as HIPAA and HITRUST. I also advise multiple service providers on building infrastructure and network functions on top of Kubernetes, including identifying what gaps need to be filled and producing solutions to some of those gaps, such as Network Service Mesh. A few highlights: * Created the first definition of a Cloud-Native Network Function (CNF), at https://x.cnf.dev, which led to creating the CNCF Telecom User Group and CNF Working Group. * Co-authored the first white-paper focusing on what Cloud-Native Network Functions Are. * Co-founded Network Service Mesh, an L2/L3 service mesh built on Cloud-Native principles focusing on simplifying heterogeneous network configurations. * Fathered Red Hat Container Storage Engine. * Had commit access to docker before it was publicly released, with a focus on early networking strategy. * Over 30 presentations delivered at major industry conferences in the past 5 years on a wide variety of topics including networking, cloud native, AI, and security.
