For over a decade I have conducted research on and worked to advance inclusive technology, women's economic empowerment, equity and inclusion in the workplace, and gender lens investing serving as a trusted advisor to foundations, companies, and NGOs. My current work focuses on the intersections of artificial intelligence, equity, and inclusion. I have conducted research on social impacts of artificial intelligence and worked with large tech companies to understand strategies and challenges for responsible AI innovation in practice through data collection to algorithm development and AI system management. I am also a doctoral candidate at Oxford University exploring AI, gender, and design justice.
I am fluent in Spanish, stemming from my long-term engagement with communities in Peru. I co-founded and currently serve as President of the board of Visionaria Network, a non-profit organization dedicated to learning and leadership solutions that enable indigenous youth to be social innovators in their own lives and communities.
