Georgia is an experienced chair, non-executive director and commercial lawyer with significant special sits experience. She is a member of the Institute of Directors and the Royal Automobile Club and a member of the advisory council for the Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary University, London. Georgia is now chair of the board of the Black Angel Mining group, a mining exploration group focussed in north west Greenland. Georgia was a non-executive director at dual-listed AEX Gold Inc for 4 years (2017-2021), where she chaired the corporate governance and the remuneration committees and sat on the audit committee. Georgia works pro bono with qLegal which provides free legal advice to start-ups and entrepreneurs. She is a Distinguished Practitioner Member of the Commercial Law Centre at Oxford University.Dual qualified as a NY/English lawyer and a licensed IP Georgia is based in London, and spent 5 years living and working in SE Asia and has spent time working in Sydney. In addition Georgia was successful in the FT Non-Executive Director Diploma and is regulated by ICAEW as an insolvency practitioner. Georgia is also a member of Women in Mining.She has 20+ years of expertise in cross-border transactions and restructurings spanning industries as diverse as aviation and retail. She is well-versed in ESG matters and has worked on ESG and sustainability implementation at a corporate/institutional level.Her work in ABL has been frequently recommended in Legal 500, including most recently in the 2023 rankings: 'Superb' dual New York and UK-qualified team head Georgia Quenby has been integral to the firm's success in the market and is appreciated for her ability to structure complex deals involving sophisticated intercreditor relationships.
