Gerald Youngblood joined Lenovo in August 2021 as the Chief Marketing Officer for Lenovo North America. In this role, he is responsible for driving the regional marketing and communications direction for the leading global technology brand while growing customer and partner preference across both indirect and direct channels. Youngblood is also the founder of Tankee, a parent-approved destination for kids to watch and discover games they love. As a seasoned technology and gaming executive, Youngblood set out to develop an engaging, on-demand mobile entertainment platform for gaming content that keeps the fun and eliminates questionable content for kids. Prior to Tankee, Youngblood was the Senior Director of WW Marketing, Social, and Operations for Advanced Micro Devices where he drove end-to-end strategy and execution primarily focused on driving AMD’s PC technology brands including the go-to-market activation for Ryzen, one of the PC industry's most successful high-end brands. He also led highly successful investments in esports marketing including partnerships with top gaming organizations FNATIC and Evil Geniuses. Youngblood oversaw internal teams spanning four continents and was consistently recognized as a top leader within the AMD organization, receiving multiple awards. Youngblood has spoken at top technology and gaming events including SXSW, gamescom, China Joy, esports tournaments and AMD’s tentpole events. He is currently a Mentor-in-Residence at the University of Texas Longhorn Startup Lab. Youngblood holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Dallas. He’s married and has a son who games with him several times a week, purely for research purposes.
