Prior to Comet, I was a data scientist at Columbia University, Groupwize, and Google working mostly on NLP tasks (document classification, language modeling, code switch detection, keyword search). In many cases, I was asked to tackle a machine learning project where there was no record of how the previous models had been built, what worked and what didn’t. It was like starting from scratch. That’s when I came up with the idea for Comet. Comet is doing for Machine Learning what GitHub did for code. We allow data scientists to automagically track their datasets, code changes, experimentation history, and models creating efficiency, transparency, and reproducibility.
