As President, Gillian Tans leads the VanMoof’s management team and oversees all global business operations, helping to further solidify the company’s position as breakthrough leader in mobility. Under her leadership as Booking.com CEO, and later chairwoman, Gillian Tans advanced its operations and sales across more than 225 countries around the world. During her 20 year tenure, Tans oversaw the company’s massive expansion from a Dutch start-up to becoming the world’s leading online travel agency. Gillian began her career in the hospitality industry at Hershey Entertainment and Resorts in Pennsylvania, USA and is a graduate of the Hotel Management School in Middelburg, The Netherlands. She speaks English, Dutch, German and French. Today at VanMoof, Gillian helps realize the vision of making cycling the default transport choice for moving around our cities worldwide.
