I am a Pakistani qualified lawyer with an Advanced LLM from Leiden University in Air and Space Law. I have experience working with both companies and law firms. I am presently working as a Legal Consultant at UNIDROIT in Rome where I primarily work on international secured transactions law reform projects, as well as UNIDROIT's instruments on law and technology. I lead UNIDROIT's work on the implementation and advancement of the Space Protocol of the Cape Town Convention and assist in furthering the implementation of other Protocols such as the one for Mining, Agriculture and Construction (MAC) equipment. Additionally, I also lead UNIDROIT's project on Digital Assets and Private Law. I am closely involved with the Cape Town Convention Academic Project and am a Manager at the UNIDROIT Foundation. I also coordinate UNIDROIT’s digital and social media presence. I also volunteer with the Space Generation Advisory Council, where I served as the National Point of Contact for Pakistan from 2016-2020, General Counsel from 2020-2022, and as the elected Co-Chair of the entire organisation from 2022-2024. I specialise in Secured Transactions Law, Aircraft Financing, Space Financing and Space Law & Policy, and Law and Technology. I possess strong legal writing and research capabilities alongside excellent management skills as evidenced by my many publications and my varied work experience.
