Bio

I am a curious, passionate, ambitious researcher and engineer. My interests/passion include Artificial Intelligence, robotics, affective and cognitive computing, Human-Computer Interaction, psychology, psychiatry, neuroscience and education. Up till now, my career journey was very diverse and enriching. I had the chance to experience working with AI both in the industry and in academia. I have recently joined NYU Abu Dhabi as an assistant professor of Computer Science. Back in 2018, with 3 very talented and ambitious women, I have co-founded Women in AI, an organization whose aim is at close the gender gap in the AI field, organize workshops on AI, educate on the subject and motivate women to join this field. I hold a PhD in AI, a Master degree in Control, Robotics, Image and Signal Processing, an engineering diploma in Telecommunication and Computer Science.
