Hari Gopalkrishnan is the CIO for Consumer and Wealth Management at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Gopalkrishnan is responsible for leading the development of the next generation of client experiences to help make our clients lead their best financial lives. This Includes technology and data that drives the company’s channels, products, payments and servicing platforms. In his role, Gopalkrishnan is responsible for driving applied innovation in cloud, AI, payments and immersive experiences to create always available, highly personalized experiences across the Bank’s high tech and high touch channels. Prior to joining the bank, Gopalkrishnan was CIO, Global Data, Operations and Shared Services at Citigroup where he led Global Markets operations, reference data and Institutional Client Group (ICG) architecture across all Global Markets products. In addition, he was responsible for Global Banking and Investment Research Technology across ICG as well as running Enterprise Architecture, Development Engineering and Shared Services for the Bank. Previously, Gopalkrishnan served as chief technology architect for Lehman Brothers, where he was responsible for Digital Platforms, Operations, Finance, Reference Data & Enterprise Services. He has also held technology leadership positions at Bankers Trust and Eli Lilly.
