As engineers and entrepreneurs we are probably living in the most fascinating and inspiring period ever. We have to reeinvent a world without fossil fuels – where carbon has a price, a high price. Time is pressing. But resources, and the willingness to change are there – and we are more engineers than ever before on this planet, well educated and trained. Plus, there are more entrepreneurs and investors who ready to invest in decarbonization. Most of us committed to making this a better world, with higher quality of living and this standards for more people accessible. Already a huge amount of engineering power is directed to saving the planet - more than ever and also capital is shifted towards those new - sustainable investment opportunities. Our most powerful tool – the expontial driving force of innovation provided by Moore’s law will prevail. Now even boosted by artificial intelligence, and later quantum computing. So, I am convinced that we can and will bring climate change to an halt – and still be able to improve the quality of life on this planet. I will do my best to further contribute.
