Bio

Working with a wide range of clients, communities and contexts to create tailored strategies and designs considering three dimensions in terms of connectivity, uses, placemaking and experience. Offering each project a strong vision and positioning, through options to final schemes, guidelines, control plans and supporting planning applications. My expertise lay in undertaking effective analysis of project' context and client aspirations, application of access and experience as a driving force in concepts, and being able to propose innovative, yet feasible options to create distinctive, valuable places for people to enjoy and invest in. Project experience ranges from eco-towns to urban mixed-use sites, from airports to tourism resorts, and have also included transport, public realm, heritage and cultural projects as well as preparing design guides and place audits. Types of projects include: • Concept and visioning studies to establish a strong identity, direction and brand for projects from new towns to pop-up villages. Proposing new initiatives, interventions and ideas to establish new types of mixes, experiences and opportunities for each project. • Masterplans for large-scale sustainable settlements, smart cities, mixed-use urban communities and transport oriented development, regeneration districts, cultural and entertainment destinations, airport cities and tourism resorts • Development feasibility and site allocation studies to determine best sites for different development typologies from city centre to low-rise residential. • Preparing urban design guides and control plans for smart cities, tourist resorts, new housing settlements and inner city regeneration districts • Undertaking public realm, cycling, pedestrian and street design studies and strategies • Planning, heritage, visual impact, parking and transport assessments and strategies
