Bio

Ilia has a decade of experience working with the global capital markets on both public and private sides. He started his career as a Corporate Banker in Eastern Europe, and later advised the Government of Georgia on the development of capital markets, before getting his MBA at Harvard Business School. He did fundamental security analysis work on developed markets stocks for two NY-based hedge funds before joining the M&A team at BofA Merrill Lynch in New York, where he spent three years working on some of the largest transactions across industries. After Merrill, he spent a year working directly with the Head of Global Equities at BofA to help drive the strategy for the Global Equities business. Ilia currently serves as Vice President of Investment Banking at BTIG covering Emerging Tech. He is passionate about helping entrepreneurs achieve their goals and is generous of his time with founders advising on strategy and capital markets - with the lucky bunch that he chooses to work with, he becomes their strong supporter and trusted advisor. Ilia lives in New York City together with his wife and daughter. He enjoys playing tennis and is a former chess player.
