Bio

I am a Founder, CEO, & Community Builder passionate about closing the digital divide by helping diverse people/populations adopt and create technology. I’m a full time founder of a venture studio that operates at the intersection of emerging tech, education, and community building. What did I do before this? I am a former engineering manager (Vox Media & Mailchimp), former software engineer, former teacher (middle/high school social studies), and former community organizer. I’m a very fast learner, a student of life, and a generalist with a solid foundational understanding of multiple disciplines. I’ve been pursuing social impact since I was 15 years old when I ran my first non profit organization chapter, and 16 when I got 5 friends to cut off their hair for a cause. Since then I have been a leader and advocate. . . I’ve been a prominent voice in political discussions on my college campus where I was elected to be the graduation speaker for my class of 2014. I’ve co-Ied local community organizing initiatives in South Florida, I’ve changed the lives of many students, and I’ve relentlessly pursued a career in technology as first an engineer, then a manager, and then a CEO and STEM advocate. My mission is to further equity and economic development around the world. I aim to bootstrap my company for as long as possible and I am looking for part or full time leadership work in a mission driven organization.
