As business lawyer and investor, I have a 20-year field expertise in designing and financing ground breaking innovative ventures, mainly in Africa and Latin America. I also teach investment readiness, product market fit and strategy in various incubators and venture builders programs. Unfolding talent and innovation is my drive. I strongly believe that jugaad innovation using technology as a leverage to improve access to basic services, is the key to a sustainable model capable of adressing the challenges our world faces. As the acting CEO at Digital Africa, I lead a team of 20 people from 14 nationalities, partially based in Africa, with a 40-million budget to support and fund early stage entrepreneurs using technology in Africa for the benefit of the real economy. With a data driven approach, we operate as a catalyst to ease access for these start ups to local trained tech talent, appropriate funding and an international community of experts. Our objective is to scale these tech products created and designed on the continent to enable an international reach. We operate as a venture builder and investor through a hybrid approach as we partner with DFI and charities to design programs and invesment products compliant with the specific needs of early stage tech entrepreneurs.
