Bio

I started out in service desk and regional support roles, including being the dedicated support analyst for the office of the CEO. I then made the jump to networking taking a chance to try something new. I only new the basics and up until then hadn't even ever logged onto a switch! I worked my way up and had to learn fast. After a few years I was promoted to manager of the networking team and then taking on the additional role of Operations manager a few years later. These teams include both onshore and off shore team members making for a diverse and fun environment to work in. I have had the privilege of leading these teams made up of great people to execute transformational changes in our enterprise. Fun fact, In college I swore I would never get into networking or project management. I hated these classes. Since then I have had a rewarding career designing and building data networks as well as managing multiple projects on a yearly basis. Never say never! During my time as a leader I have written over 20 business cases, presented to senior leadership and conducted RFPs which have led to the significant improvements of the enterprise. I also created a technical business case template for our manufacturing plant teams to use which helped me establish relationships and trust with the business that I support. Being a leader of a technical team means that I not only have to understand technology but also how that technology impacts the business and the bottom line.
