Janet Balis is an accomplished media executive with extensive experience in cross-platform media. She is a partner at EY, leading their America’s consulting business focused on the customer journey and commercial excellence as well as EY's CMO Practice bringing together leading design and execution in business, experience and technology. Previously, she served in leadership roles across the media industry, including serving as a Partner at Betaworks leading their Innovation Lab, Publisher of The Huffington Post, and the EVP of Media Sales and Marketing for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. She also spent over eight years at Time Warner. Janet holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Columbia College. Janet was named as a 2017 Women of Excellence Award recipient by the National Association of Female Executives (NAFE), an Advertising Age 2010 Women to Watch, and a Crains Top 40 Under 40 in 2006. She currently serves on the global board of directors for the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) and the boards of the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, and she has served on the board of Public Radio Exchange (PRX) and as an advisor to the Harvard Business School Digital Initiative.
