I am an IdSP founder and its CEO, a niche identity and biometrics consulting firm. We have contracts at DHS and DOD providing niche identity technical and intelligence services, and we have a facility clearance as a woman owned small business. As lead for IdSP, I also currently serve as the Senior Biometrics Interagency Coordinator for DHS OBIM Futures Identity with SES John Boyd and Assistant Deputy Director Will Graves. I previously spent 3.5 years supporting DOD's Chief Engineer, Will Graves. I have 20+ years federal experience and am most widely known as a 9/11 Commission counsel responsible for many of the terrorist travel recommendations in the 9/11 Final Report and attending Terrorist Travel monograph. I most enjoy end-to-end thought leadership that encompasses practical technology innovations, supported by law and policy, implemented by governments. My buzz phrases ''terrorist travel,'' ''assuring people are who they say they are,” “border security is national security,” and “biometrics assure both security and facilitation” have resulted in international standards for biometrics, borders, and breeder documents such as passports and driver licenses. As MorphoTrak’s (now Idemia) Homeland Security Director I developed the cruise ship biometric entry-exit con-ops now being implemented by CBP. I have been invited to testify before the US Congress 19 times, primarily on border and identity issues, and the United Nations National Security Council on terrorist travel in 2014. I served twice on the Senate Judiciary Committee counsel and as a 2013 Immigration Reform Special Counsel under now former Attorney General Jeff Sessions. I founded the Secure Identity & Biometrics Association (SIBA). I was Americas Director for international border organization BORDERPOL. I spent 5 years as national security director at a DC think tank and developed/hosted digital homeland security radio show. I serve as a key advisory board member, chair, moderator and keynote speaker of domestic and international biometrics conferences. I am a recipient of the 2015 Women in Biometrics Award, one of five women from over 50 nominated (Sept. 2015) and a graduate of Duke University, and Villanova Law School. Duke Magazine named me as one of their top ten most influential graduates of the 1980s. http://www.secureidnews.com/news-item/2015-women-in-biometrics-award-winners-announced/ I've been an Associate Grammy Member for a few years, where I have had three albums accepted for nomination in the Spoken Word Category, and have worked with Grammy winners and nominees.
