As Chief Product Security Officer (Product CISO) at Johnson Controls, I lead a talented global cybersecurity team that manages risk across the lifecycle of a diverse portfolio of smart building OT/IoT products and cloud services. In 2022, I was selected Product Security Executive of the Year by T.E.N.’s Information Security Executive® (ISE®) of the Year Award Program. Using OKRs to drive high performance, I empower my team to accelerate DevSecOps and CICD automation, design solutions aligned with zero trust architecture, manage incident response operations, coordinate resolution and disclosure of vulnerabilities, obtain certifications (SOC 2, ISO 27001, IEC 62443), and provide a positive cyber experience to our customers. All this makes it possible to champion innovative security offerings and features that deliver value and reduce risk. What I enjoy most is leading people through transformation, to achieve sustained operational excellence where business and technology initiatives align to deliver amazing value and growth. I have previously held CISO and CTO roles, continue to serve as a senior leader in the Air National Guard, and I serve on the board for two non-profits.
