W. Jason Gilmore serves as the CEO of Treehouse, the company behind the award-winning platform that has taught more than 1 million people how to code and design. Prior to joining Treehouse, Jason served as the CTO at DreamFactory Software, creator of the popular API generation and management platform used by companies around the world. He spent more than a decade consulting and leading development teams for a wide variety of clientele in the environmental, architectural, telecom, and publishing industries, among others. A prolific technical writer, he's the author of nine books, including the bestselling “Beginning PHP and MySQL” and “Easy Laravel 5''. Jason's writings on web technologies have appeared hundreds of times within popular industry publications. Jason is co-founder of the popular CodeMash Conference, an annual event which over the course of the past twelve years has grown to become the largest of its kind in the Midwest.
