Jeanine is the COO at Wondery. She oversees revenue, licensing, partnerships, operations, strategy and new market expansion operations. Jeanine has worked with startup and growth companies for over a decade, specializing in technology, finance and media. A proven leader and operator, she brings a broad base of C-suite experience. Before joining Wondery, Jeanine was the CFO at AdsWizz, the world’s largest audio ad tech platform owned by SiriusXM, and the COO at Simplecast, the fast-growing podcast hosting and monetization platform. Jeanine has led multiple companies through high growth stages to successful transactions. Jeanine was a Board Member of ProductPlan and stewarded it through to its recent sale to PE firm, Bow River. After having been its first investor, Jeanine grew and then sold Simplecast to SiriusXM. Before that, Jeanine co-led the auction process to sell Media Temple to GoDaddy. She’s also launched an international joint venture with one of the world’s largest companies, JD.com, and was part of a small team charged with turn-around efforts after another company was acquired by a PE firm. Jeanine enjoys angel investing, mentoring high-potential women professionals, and serving on corporate boards. She was one of the earliest private investors in podcasting and is regarded as one of the top 50 most influential women in the podcast industry. In private legal practice, Jeanine was an Entertainment & Media attorney and an accomplished trial litigator. Jeanine was a Finalist for Los Angeles Business Journal’s “Corporate Counsel of the Year” in both 2013 and 2017. She co-authored a chapter titled “The Talent Agencies Act” in Entertainment Litigation (Charles J. Harder ed., Oxford University Press) (2011), the first major treatise on entertainment litigation. She received her JD from USC, Order of the Coif, and her BA in political science from UCLA, Cum Laude. After law school, she clerked for the Hon. Manuel L. Real in the Central District of California.
