Customer & operationally-focused Supply Chain (SC) C-Suite executive with experience across the retail, manufacturing, food distribution industries and channels (international, domestic, store replenishment, customer fulfillment) with full P&L ownership. Demonstrable success in both high growth/multi concept environments & economic downturn cycles. During distinguished 20-year tenure with Bed Bath & Beyond (BBBY), developed what was the foundational backbone for the flow of goods to the BBBY stores while guiding the needs for expanded revenue streams. Grew the Direct to Consumer (DTC) capabilities of the business both through the stores and the fulfillment center channels 4X. Oversaw SC spend across channels/brands, and organizations up to 5000+ people. Expertise in strategy creation, execution & enhancing capabilities through people, processes/systems informs all work, as does Board experience. Joined BBBY as VP Global SC back in 2000, became Chief SC Officer in 2018. Responsible for/led all movement of goods through the diverse supply chains, including internat’l trade, domestic replenishment/digital fulfillment channels. Built the SC organization, contributed to more than quadrupling annual revenues/number of stores, and leading a vast network. Increased operational effectiveness, such as driving a significant basis point reduction in overall annual SC costs to the business by migrating to a cross-dock distribution model. Provided convenience of speed at a reduced cost, shortened Direct to Consumer fulfillment process, and improved product returns’ recovery value. Recently, operating on the 3PL/Service provider side of the Supply Chain with Need it Now Delivers, LLC. Understanding the challenges the 3PL's have with shipper's needs is critical to forming relationships that work for both. The integration and sharing of critical data and assumptions between shipper and provider's of service is critical to the relationships and the ability to operate cost effectively. Uniquely understanding this over the years now affords me the ability to put this to practical use with Need It Now Delivers, LLC.
