My passion is in enabling innovation through better business and risk strategy. Throughout my career, I have focused on developing strong cyber programs, designing and implementing growth strategies, and inspiring diverse leaders to discover careers in cybersecurity. Why are these areas important? Strong security enables strong innovation. To strengthen our enterprise defenses, we need to look beyond employing the best technology to achieving a dynamic and integrated security strategy that continuously improves to protect our expanding attack surfaces. It takes more than a great idea. The cybersecurity market offers ample growth as well as risk. Success requires a solid understanding of the community players, market timing and dynamics. Without a keen focus on a strategic approach to entry and growth and an appreciation for the psychographics of the buyers, companies risk early failure to gain market share. Innovative thought, collaboration and determination breeds success under pressure. Cybersecurity departments need more than skilled headcount. They need leaders that will seek out new ways to succeed and openly collaborate with the community. Our youth offer a unique view as a result of their life-long immersion in technology. Our soldiers offer a fearless dedication to mission that can promote success under fire. A diverse workforce creates a team approach that can multiply performance and ultimately success. Because of these passions, I started my own services firm (KATZCY) where I help business leaders build stronger security programs by blending business practices with security operations and assist companies grow cybersecurity market share. I volunteer, speak and contribute to multiple STEAM programs that help grow a pipeline of cyber professionals. Follow me on Twitter @CyberRiskLady
